Next Post Sneak Peek!

Here's a sneak peek for my next post: The English Thoroughbred!

Tour: South Hoof Peninsula

Hey everyone! This week's tour will be of South Hoof, a new area in the Star Stable world. South Hoof is a very large, mostly uninhabited area off of the eastern coast of Epona. It has 6 inhabitants (not including the wild ponies), all of whom you will interact with on quests. There is The Hermit, Sigrid, Jonas, Erik, Holly, and Madison. Erik, Jonas, Holly and Madison can be found at the farm that's up the road from the Ferry landing.

Sigrid, the lighthouse keeper, is (obviously) located at the lighthouse, after you rescue her from Cape Sorrow.

The Hermit on the Heath lives off of a beach on the south side of South Hoof. To get to his house, you could either run along the beach from the Ferry Landing or go from the farm to the Ancient Tree then take a left.

The other inhabitants of the island are rather popular already, The Welsh Ponies. They are always on the island, either running around in the fields or camping out in The Hermit's cottage area. There are currently six colors of Welsh Pony available at the Hermit's Cottage, but they are only available for adoption after you get a 'Friendly' reputation with him.

Personally, I think South Hoof is the best place in the game for Wild and Mixed Roles, with all of the grassland areas that have stable-like areas nearby. Also, the NPC Welsh Pony herd adds some nice effect.

I hope this tour was of use to you!

Guide To Star Stable Role-Plays

Hello Riders! Lately, I've been noticing that many people in game don't know how to Role-play! Because of this, I'll be showing you guys some basic rules and tips for SSO Role Playing.

-----------

First off, you'll need to know how to invite someone to the group you'll host the RP in. During the Role Play, you'll talk in group chat so you won't spam the chat of people in your area in "Say" chat.

Here's how you do it:

Click on the player's horse, avatar, or name if they say something in chat. If you click on their character, a display will show up next to your info in the top left corner of the screen. Click on their name.

A drop down menu should appear:

Click "Invite to a group"

This will give them an invitation to your group*.

*Only 5 players can be at a group at a time

-----------

By knowing this, you can now make an ad for it in Global Chat! Most people use all caps to make ads to make them noticeable. I, on the other hand, suggest that you use caps only for short ads. Long, all caps ads being repeated over and over extremely annoys players, not making them wish to join your RP. Here's an example of a short, detailed ad that will most likely get the most players quickly:

If you wish to join the Role, answer with what they ask you to in the ad. Here's an example:

If someone answers to your ad, be sure to add them to your group using the method shown above.

Tip:
Be sure to include the RP type, location, meeting point, players needed, and what to say to join in a Global Chat ad.

-----------

Next, You'll need to know how to Role-Play in chat. I suggest that you have some of your character's backstory planned out before you jump into the RP. Star Stable players have over time made a style in which everyone role-plays. Here are examples:

-----------

After everyone in the role is ready to start, say your "Roles". They are description of your character(s) that you will use in the role. Here's an example:

*** BE SURE to only get the basic starter facts for your character. You can always develop the backstory as the Role goes on ***

-----------

Types of Roles

Wild Role: Play as wild horses. Horses can be independent or part of a herd. Horses have no Tack on and the human avatars are ignored through the role. Roles are usually set in fields around the map.

Rider Role: Play as both your horse and rider. Rider is main character out of the two, unless it is a "Horse Mode/Rider Mode" role style. Rider roles are usually set at stable-like locations around the map.

Mix Role: Play as either a wild horse or a rider. Rider roles are usually near stables, but in areas with fields for the wild horses.

Romance Role: Play as either a horse or a rider. Notice: Rider romance roles are NOT meant for players under the age of 13 and sometimes have mature content.

-----------

Thanks for reading! I hope you have fun doing your Role-plays, and happy riding!

Horse Breed Review - American Quarter Horses

American Quarter Horses are commonly known to players as the Game's Best Racehorse, but that is only when the horse has good gear. Although my favorite racehorse is my American Quarter Horse, there are Pros and Cons to this beautiful breed.

Facts:

Stats:
American Quarter Horses get their reputation in StarStable from their added agility and discipline.

Price:
These speedy steeds have a hefty price, but many say it is all well worth it.

Pros:
- Extra agility, making the horse more controllable.
- Extra discipline, making the horse faster at coming to a hard stop and jump further.
- Extra strength, helping the horse jump higher.
- Beautiful colors that can go with any set of gear.
- Amazing animations (different than Morgan, Overo, Tovero, Aploosa, American Paint Horse, and Shire)
- Fairly uncommon to see, more unique

Cons:
- Not much endurance, therefore your horse will need feeding and watering more often.
- The breed is overall shorter than most horses.
- Not usually used as a Club Horse/Mascot
- Posture different than most horses

Here is some examples of the breed's animations:

Here is a video of the horses moving animations:
(shown in video: Different Speeds, Rearing Up, Hard Stop)

Colors available:
Black - Marley's Farm
Light Tan and white - Firgrove
Light Gray - Firgrove
Dark Gray - Firgrove
Medium Brown - Fort Pinta
Blue Gray - Firgrove

StarStable Guide to Riding Clubs

Hi Riders! In one of today's posts, I will be doing a review for THREE clubs, Electric Steeds, Bad Aces, and Invisible Wolves (In Chocolate Cupcake server). Using these three clubs as examples,  I will be teaching you how to get more members in your club, how to get active members!

Tip 1: How to get your club started

Getting your club started off for an all active members club is probably the most difficult task to face in making a good, popular club. Once you get your first loyal few (about 6-10 riders, 3-5 of them leaders, rest riding instructors), you can start getting riders in your club by the loads. People like to see that their club is filling up, or is growing fast, making it a fun environment to hang out in.

One of the common problems with getting riders is that people to ads in Global Chat or constantly insist that a rider should join their club, which make people think you are annoying, preventing them from joining a your club. There is one way (probably the best way) to get good, qualified riders in your club. Either go to the newest area you have unlocked (i.e. Harvest Counties, Golden Hills, etc.) or just go to a popular place for riders to hang out (i.e. Steve's farm or Silverglade Village) and start a role, stampede or anything you'd like! Invite players in your role to be your friend and do activities regularly.

Over time, invite players to be in your club. By doing this, you will have a fun, active club, and you can get to know all of the members, making them want to stay forever.

Tip 2: Dealing with drama

Once you have many members, you will start to have to deal with drama. Bullying is NEVER a small problem, not like a fight or anything.

***** IF THERE IS BULLYING IN YOUR CLUB, KICK THE BULLIES AND THE PEOPLE BEING BULLIED OUT OF YOUR CLUB AND MESSAGE STAR STABLE CUSTOMER SUPPORT IMMEDIATELY!! *****

In order to prevent drama, Have your club leaders all be trustworthy, and against drama. Once you have recruited your leaders, Be sure that they know how to identify drama. Then, ask them to message you the names of the players that caused the drama, and the players that joined the drama. Then, when you do get a message from a leader, be sure to remove all of the players from the club that started and joined the drama. This will be better than disbanding the club completely, ruining all of your hard work. This will also prevent the loss of mass numbers of riders leaving your club.

Tip 3: STAY ACTIVE!! Players LOVE being in active clubs, so devote a little game time each day to club activities. This will give players a good reason reason not to leave!

Also, club outfits are a good idea, they make your club look more active
And organized. Here is an example of my club, *Electric Steeds, and it's club outfit.

Also, club gear and horse colors help you stay more organized. Here is the electric steeds Gear and horse color:

Dancing next to each other or in a circle at the Fort Pinta Disco is a popular way to promote your club or just stay active!

Good luck with your club, and happy riding!

Tour: Guardian's Dale

Hey guys! Recently (on my old blog) I got many requests to do a tour of guardian's dale for the people who haven't unlocked it yet.

The path to guardians dale is difficult to find, but after you get on the path, its easy to get to the Dale.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Once you get on the path, you should be able to look right and see the forest by Dew's farm in the Eastern Slopes of Epona.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

The coordinates of the beginning of the path are (X:157, Y:276). Follow a slope up into the mountains until you see a path.

Keep following the path until you see fog and there is a small grove of trees in front of you, that is the beginning of the Guardian's Dale
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here are some pics of the actual Dale:
(Sorry for the fog! I'd remove it but that'd also remove the dale's amazing effect.)

I must say, the Guardian's Dale is truly amazing... if you can, go see it yourself!
Comment below what your favorite horse statue in the dale is; Unicorn, Pegasus, Bearded Horse, or Fire Horse.
----------------------------------------------------------------

Happy Riding! :P
